The Moto Life

As we all know most stories start out with once upon a time, or it was a dark stormy night. Well this story about my life. Oh sorry let me start over...Hi my name is Racine. Greenhalgh, yes I am a girl! And my favorite thing to do is race motocross. For those of you who don't know what this sport is, it is where you race a motorcycle not a street bike a dirt bike, I ride in either dirt, mud, or sand almost every weekend. And all it is, is sweat, dirty hair, and sun burn! But it is so worth it! And if you cry over a broken nail you would never be able to do this sport!

Anyway I love it I have a 110 Kawasaki it is a little darker than lime green but, beautiful! In motocross we have classes I’m in the powder puff it is an all girls' class. It goes from ages 8-12 and I'm twelve! But know worries there's another girls class called, women 14 and under, and that's what I'm going to be in. At about 7:45-8:00 I get ready for practice. Practice is not a race, although most people act like it's a race, but it is really to see what the track is like. Every morning when I wake up for practice I look at my mom and dad's bed to see if ray dad is awake.  He always goes and looks at the track to see if it is muddy or, to see if there is, steep hills, just to warn us. Then when I am done with practice, I expect goolosh from my mommy.

After I’m done racing I always look forward to a nice cold slushy! Because it is so hot at the races.

We have a toyhaller vortex trailer. It's our brand new one, it rocks! It has a sweet radio system and two queen sized bunk beds, I sleep on the top bunk my sister and I share my little brother and sister share the bottom bunk. My parents sleep in a bed in the very front of our trailer, we meet good friends at the races our closest ones are Steve and Natalie Hunt and their two boys, Chase and Chad. Our other one is Rick Hodges he always comes alone in his van, I feel bad for him, but he makes the best homemade sauce ever! I call it Rick's sauce. Another one of our closest friends are my uncle Ed and my cousin Brendon. Another one of our closest friends is Joe and Tiff Candelairia and their daughter Cierra. Sometimes there son Loni comes along with his wife Jenna. And sometimes my other cousin, Justin comes with his wife Yanete, she is very very nice, she listens to everything you have to say. But they come rarely. Tina, her sister Debbie and her husband Lain run the wild west national series, her son Nick helps too. There are, I think 16 races throughout the whole year and to run the series you have to hit 14.

In the winter I miss the races so much I want to go camping so bad I could cry! I miss my race buddies so much! I miss Rick's ribs, and his Rick's sauce. And I miss the morning goolosh.  I miss my dad waking us up for practice, I miss hot burning sun, I miss waiting at that challenging starting gate, I miss every little detail of the races. So sometimes I hate winter, but at least you get to go snowboarding, sledding, skiing, do all that! But I think summer is ten-billion times better! Because you get to do all of this! I get to race my heart out, then come home on week days and swim in our 4ft pool! It rocks! Or else I wash my bike. Then every summer we have a steak dinner and we get out the bikes and we race in our back yard! P.s I won my big brother Broc in the year 2007! Then we go and team up on football and I l.o.v.e. it! So this year I hope to work harder on having the best moto year ever! And now you know all about me my family, friends, and most importantly my Moto life! Peace out!
